A Word From Kath Maki, Volunteer Coordinator
As a member of MSSC you have an opportunity to be involved and give back to our community!
MSSC has yearly events in Monterey County that we have participated in as volunteers. Most of the events earn our non profit club a donation, We contribute those funds to small non profits and as a member you can request and endorse your specific group to receive a donation. We have a process for submission and approval by our committee and final approval by your board.
Some of the events do not give us a donation, but we look at these events as a way for our members to give back to our community and to be further involved.

Club was recognized at the Far West Ski Association (FWSA) Convention October 7-10, 2021.

All money earned from our volunteering at various community events, annual Poinsettia Sale, and
membership Raffles is donated back to the community.
We donated $3,000 for our 2024-2025 Club year to:
- Sabu Shake Holiday Fundraiser for the Salvation Army ($1,500)
- Food Bank for Monterey County ($1,000)
- Food Bank for Monterey County for the Annual Community Holiday Dinner ($500)
